She seemed to be saying, "Hey, most of us aren't princesses, and our treasured moments in life are apt to happen in our own backyards, or on street corners in the pouring rain."Jennifer R. All that ruffing his hair when he is exited and he is very warm and affectionate. Even though I like that LW is such a feminist book I feel that it can also eat the romance of Jo and Fritz. He is always very respectful towards her (otherwise Jo wouldn´t have him) but it can make it look like he lacks passion (but I don´t think he doesn´t). I still think that the proposal under the umbrella is extremely intense. In fact I based the casualness and hominess of my own wedding on Meg's, which is one of my favorite weddings in literature.<br />In your post you raised good points about Jo possibly being meant for single life, which I would also prefer to a pairing with Laurie.Jennifer R. Alcott had a nice way of showing the romance in non-elegant settings: like Meg's wedding too.Jennifer R. I hope that Louisa would have written more in depth about their relationship but I guess she had to be careful since it was a book for children. In the third book I think she describes their marriage very beautifully. Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13161320114892441996noreply@blogger.com
