Winter walks

Winter is a turning-inward time; the sun rises late and sets early; the air chills; the sky spits nasty bits of ice. Yet I enjoy a daily walk out there, among the bare trees, through the quiet brown landscape.

The land is only asleep. And who couldn't use a bit of rest?

  1. I could certainly do with a rest! Thank goodness today is the last day of school, and the mad whirl of end-of-year concerts and assemblies is over.

It's kinda hot, though. I'm enjoying walking in the forest at the moment too, but more because it shades me from the blazing sun.. Enjoy your winter chill!

    1. We have not seen much of the sun lately--maybe it has decided that it would rather hang around the summer climes!
